Partnering to address food inequality

According to the Greater Boston Food Bank, one in 10 local residents doesn't have enough to eat. In an effort to help address food inequality on the local level, Harvard began partnering with Food For Free, a Cambridge-based nonprofit working to end chronic hunger by recapturing fresh food that might otherwise be discarded and ensuring that it finds its way to those who need it most. Through this partnership, Harvard University Dining Services donates approximately 2,000 nutritious meals to families in need each week.
