Visiting Scholar Lecture with Matthew Katz

Date:

Monday, July 9, 2018, 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Location:

Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard, 224 Western Ave., Allston
This lecture will discuss, explore, and destroy some of the common ceramic myths. Topics to be discussed include, "No, opening your kiln early does not cause crazing" and "Gas escaping from your clay can't cause pin-holing," as well as others. This lecture will wash away the nonsense and fill you with optimism and information. Matthew Katz is the instructor of the Ceramics Program’s Summer 2018 course Glaze and Clay Body Chemistry.
