Vision and Justice: A Creative Convening

“Vision and Justice” is a two-day creative convening that will consider the role of the arts in understanding the nexus of art, race, and justice, with a particular focus on the African-American experience.

The program incorporates a range of dynamic speakers and events, including performances by Carrie Mae Weems and Wynton Marsalis, a screening of a film by Ava DuVernay and Bradford Young, and two exhibitions of work by Gordon Parks and Willie Cole. Additional speakers include Anna Deavere Smith, Kasseem Dean (Swizz Beatz), Claudia Rankine, and the program will conclude with a keynote by Bryan Stevenson.
