Alexis Boo ’22 explores how works of art incorporate and manipulate light. Moving backward through time, this interactive tour features the Bauhaus sculpture Light Prop for an Electric Stage [Light-Space Modulator] by László Moholy-Nagy; the early Impressionist painting Gare Saint-Lazare: Arrival of a Train by Claude Monet; and Fish and Turtles, a painted folding screen from Japan’s Edo period by Maruyama Ōkyo.
