The first exhibition of its kind, Inventur examines the highly charged artistic landscape in Germany from the mid-1940s to the mid-1950s. The exhibitionfocuses on modern art created at a time when Germans were forced to acknowledge and reckon with the atrocities of World War II and the Holocaust, the country’s defeat and occupation by the Allies, and the ideological ramifications of the fledgling Cold War.

Admission: $15 adults, $13 seniors (65+), $10 non-Harvard students (18+).

Free for members; youth under 18; Cambridge residents (proof of residency required); and Harvard students, faculty, and staff (plus one guest). On Saturdays, from 10am–noon, Massachusetts residents receive free admission (proof of residency required).
