The use of deadly force by US law enforcement is extremely high by international standards and involves significant racial disparities. Rajiv Sethi RI ’21, professor of economics at Barnard College, Columbia University, will discuss his project to understand why geographic variations in scale and racial disparities exist and potential policy remedies.
