Film and Discussion: Gazing through a Lens—ʿAli Khan Documents 19th-Century Iran

Preview Azadeh Tajpour’s film about a fascinating 19th-century album of photographs created by ʿAli Khan Vali, long-time governor of the province of Azerbaijan in northwestern Iran and an avid photographer. The album is currently on view in the museums’ Technologies of the Image exhibition. Tajpour, a multidisciplinary artist based in Cambridge, will discuss her film after the screening. Free admission.
