A Far Cry Presents: Amazonita

Saturday, December 12, 2020, 8:00pm to 9:20pm

Virtual Concert

Join us for Amazonita, a chamber music virtual concert featuring Grammy-nominated musicians A Far Cry ("Criers") performing music grounded in the cultural traditions of Peru, Colombia, and Brazil. Centered around four works, this program revels in the awe and beauty of the Earth and ancestral societies and contemplates how modernity interacts with them. This concert consists of pre-recorded musical performances which will be streamed live to audiences on December 12 at 8pm in a Live Watch Party Premiere. It will also be available afterwards for streaming via Video On Demand. A special streaming service is not required.

Whether you tune in on December 12 or watch later at your leisure, you'll have access to the full 1hr 20min concert video, consisting of an introduction by one of the musicians, the performances themselves, and interviews with composers featured on the program. Immediately following the Live Watch Party Premiere on December 12, join the musicians and composers for a private Zoom reception and post-show talkback. This is your chance to hear from the artists live in an intimate setting and ask them questions! You'll receive the post-show reception link on the day of the Live Watch Party Premiere.
