Art in the Yard showcases the remarkable student artwork generated in Radcliffe's biennial Public Art Competition by presenting past winning designs alongwith a behind-the-scenes look at this year's design proposals. On view in the gallery are striking large-scale photographs, informative documentary videos focused on Harvard students and their winning designs, historic images of the installation site from the Schlesinger Library, and models and materials developed by current student competitors. This exhibition not only spotlights student work but also presents a unique look at the potential for public art to stimulate aesthetic and intellectual conversations here at Harvard and beyond.
