    Join Scullers Jazz Club for the Third Annual "Battle of the Big Bands" with the Harvard and Yale Jazz Orchestras with Special Guests, Saxophonists Wayne Escoffery and Yosvani Terry!

    Harvard's Jazz Band has performed worldwide, including 2017 performances in Cuba, and past concerts have included tributes to Herbie Hancock, Benny Golson, and many other important jazz artists.     Kick-Off the ArtLab: Opening Celebration

    Join the Harvard ArtLab, Harvard’s new laboratory for art and research, for an opening celebration on September 21! Allston-based tap dance company Subject: Matter will kick off the celebration with a performance beginning promptly at 10:00am accompanied by a live jazz band. Visitors can have their portrait taken by Boston-based photographer OJ Slaughter and experience the ArtLab’s sound studio and A*, the multi-channel art installation by Harvard Film Study Center Fellow Andy Graydon.

    A Hundred Moons - A Kathak Dance Performance

    Join the Harvard Ed Portal for a special evening celebrating Diwali, the Indian festival of lights! Diwali is said to be lit by the love that resides within each person. Dancer and Harvard Kennedy School student Neha Bansal will explore this idea with a performance of her original work A Hundred Moons, a dance in the Kathak Indian classical style. Bansal’s work uses traditional Indian symbols to tell the story of the love between two mythological characters, Radha and Krishna.
