Drawing from an ongoing collaborative practice with 2022-23 Ceramics Program Artist In Residence Nicolas Touron, Amy Lemaire sculpts borosilicate glass which is combined with Touron’s 3D printed porcelain forms. This workshop will focus on the glassmaker’s perspective in the collaboration and the logistics of combining glass and clay together in sculptural practice. Using a table mounted torch, Lemaire will sculpt hollow glass forms using a process called flameworking.
