    Bright colors, transparent shapes, and distorted angles evoke questions about perception, memory loss, and transformation in this larger-than-life glass exhibit by artist Matthew Bajor. Inspired by a loved one's experience with Alzheimer's, Bajor's abstract art and uplifting kinetic sculptures encourage viewers to use love, empathy, and compassion to bridge lost memories and language.

    Art Study Center Seminar: Versos and Marks—Exploring the Past of Paintings

    Materials Lab Workshop: Dissecting Portrait Colors

    Practitioners of art and medicine are trained to discern fine details and changes in skin coloration. But what even is "skin color"?     Augmented Reality Maya Chocolate Plate

    "Shrink" yourself down to "walk" into an ancient Maya vessel using augmented reality! Maya women were often essential for uniting kingdoms. When a marriage was arranged between Maya royal families, kings would exchange gifts like this ceramic three-legged plate for serving chocolate. Use the museum's iPad as a "magic window" to discover fine details on one such plate that cannot be seen on the actual artifact.
