The Harvard Ed Portal is celebrating health and wellness and the summer weather with a summer yoga series. Whether you have been practicing yoga for many years, or if you have never even tried it, the Harvard Ed Portal’s Summer Yoga Series offers participants of all skill levels the opportunity to experience mindfulness and relaxation. This summer two different classes are being offered, Relax Renew Yoga for Beginners and Beyond Beginners yoga!
Relax and Renew Yoga for Beginners
Tuesdays, July 7 through August 25, 6:00-7:00 pm
Unlock the power of yoga and set the foundation for a home practice in this class designed for beginners. Learn how to use traditional yoga poses and breathing techniques to counteract life’s stresses on body, mind, and spirit.
Beyond Beginner Yoga
Thursdays, July 9 through August 27, 6:00-7:00 pm
Move beyond basic yoga poses and energize the body with more sophisticated sequences. This intermediate course draws upon various styles of flow yoga and integrates aspects of meditation to relax both the mind and the body.
These classes free and open to the public. Modifications for all body types will be given. Yoga mats are available for use during class. Walk-ins are welcome but advance registration is encouraged through Eventbrite.
