Harvard University invites you to attend the Ed Portal and Annex Celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Harvard Allston Education Portal, 175 North Harvard Street, Allston, MA.

5-6 p.m. Open House and Activity Stations

Showcasing new Ed Portal Annex programs and partnerships for Allston-Brighton residents and the Harvard community, and featuring interactive science activities, soulful jazz performances by Harvard College musicians, and pottery stations from the Harvard Ceramics Studio. Refreshments provided.

6 p.m. Speaking Program

With remarks from Drew Gilpin Faust, President of Harvard University, Professor Robert A. Lue, Faculty Directorof the Harvard Allston Education Portal, and others.

6:20 p.m. Keynote Presentation by Professor Michael Sandel

Michael Sandel is the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University. Professor Sandel's popular book "Justice: What's the Right Thing to Do?", a New York Times best seller, relates the big questions of political philosophy to the most vexing issues of our time. His undergraduate course, "Justice" is the first Harvard course to be made freely available online and on public television. This talk is appropriate for all ages.
